About Dana: The Short Version

Hello.  I’m Dana, mother of four grown sons and a wife of a super, fun guy with an itch to travel.  I am a teacher, a writer, and a health and wellness coach.  I love to cook, create, design or do anything artsy. I absolutely LOVE learning and experiencing all that is new!  Traveling with my husband is the perfect way to learn and keep our creativity alive and satisfied.  Our travels have given us opportunities to try unique cuisine, experience different cultures, experiment with photography, and learn different languages.  Our newest quest is to learn food photography.  And of course, learning how to be a successful blogger.

My hope is to share with the world all that we’ve learned on healthy eating and happy travels.

About James:

Hi, my name is James. I’m a young-hearted free- spirited guy who in 1989 was fortunate enough to marry my soul mate. We were married in Jamaica and it’s been an wonderful adventure every day since. I love to “GET AWAY” even if it’s just a spontaneous trip to the next city or state for the weekend.  We’ve been blessed to have traveled to many places and meet wonderful people from all over the world.  I want to share our joys and adventures with the rest of you.

This is how we do it. Live now, have fun and enjoy the journey.

  1. Hey James and Dana, my dear old friends!
It’s been years since I’ve seen you guys. I talked with Micah just yesterday and he turned me on to your website. I’m glad to see that you guys are doing so well and doing something that you love! I miss stopping by and seeing you guys like I did so many times as a teenager. Now that I’ve been introduced to your site, I will be checking it out from time to time. My three kids, and my wife and I (we live in TN – just outside of the Smoky Mountains) certainly enjoy eating (just like James said – she likes to cook and I like to eat!), and we would like to try some of your recommendations and recipes for sure.

    Take care and God Bless!

    1. So glad to hear from you, Johnathan. We would love to see you and your family. Thanks for checking out our blog, and we hope you stay in touch.

  2. Hey Dana, it’s been a long time. I just saw a post of your on Facebook. I have been reading your blog. Would love to follow you on this. I don’t get on Facebook that often; so if you send emails, please add me to your list.

    1. Thanks Bridgette, it has been a long time. I’m so glad you’re following my blog. I do send out weekly emails of recipes, and I’m continually adding my travel photos and tips for seeing Italy. Go to my blog, and there should be a spot to put in your email to subscribe. It should say something like “get free recipes and updates”. Then, you’ll have to verify it on your email. If that doesn’t work out, I think I can put your email in manually. Just let me know.
